PROPULSION ELECTRONICS ENGINEER
Reports to:
Propulsion Section Lead
Job Summary:
The team member in this position will focus on the design of PCB's and other electronic components of HPR's in-house propulsion systems, drawing knowledge from theory and practice to design critical components.
The position has a digital logic focus, working with a range of sensors and actuators to Implement electronic solutions to a range of propulsion system challenges.
Responsibilities:

Work within the propulsion team to design, build and test critical electronic subsystems, including:

Valving and ignition control systems

Pressure transducers and thermocouples

Data logging
-
Ground support equipment
-

Research and develop circuit boards utilising digital microprocessors to control propulsion system elements

Accurately document work completed for reports and team archives

Conduct operation of propulsion electronic equipment on flight days

Share ideas with other team members to grow the sections potential
Favourable Experience/Skills

Circuit or PCB design
-
Experience in embedded systems
-
Coding experience (in any of C/C++, Python, etc)

Part manufacturing

Fundamental Thermodynamic and Aerodynamic theory

Rocket Propulsion Systems
